How to set up email authentication for Voyado

Updated over a week ago
Supports SPF alignment: Yes (dedicated subdomain)
Supports DKIM alignment: Yes

DMARC requires the domain in the “From” address of the email (what the recipient sees) to match the information authenticated by SPF or DKIM. This is called DMARC alignment.

Certain email service providers require bulk email-sending domains to authenticate their emails with both SPF and DKIM, in addition to configuring one of these authentication methods for DMARC alignment. You can read more about these bulk sender requirements here.

To start setting up email authentication, follow these steps:

  2. In the configuration area, select Domains & email:

  4. To validate and verify the authentication settings for an existing sender domain, use the kebab menu (the three dots) next to that sender domain. This allows access to the DNS records.

If you are an Enforce or Align user and your domain's DKIM record is pointed to Valimail, follow the steps below to add the records to the domain configuration in Valimail.

Add a Voyado DKIM key in Valimail

Publish the DKIM key record in Valimail following the steps from the article below. The two records containing _domainkey in their HostName, need to be added in Valimail and the other 3 CNAME records will have to be published in your external DNS zone.

After publishing the DKIM key records and the additional CNAME records, click on the Validate button to enable email authentication.
