How to set up DMARC for Mailtarget in Valimail

Updated over a week ago
SPF(supported)
DKIM(recommended)

This article covers the SPF and DKIM authentication processes for Mailtarget and how they are managed in Valimail. While only one of the two authentication methods is required for an email to pass DMARC, our recommendation is to configure both whenever possible.

Configuring DKIM authentication for your Mailtarget emails

To setup DKIM for your Mailtarget emails, please add the following DKIM key record:

Record type: CNAME

Name: mt1._domainkey.example.com (replace example.com with your domain)

Record/Value: dkim.mailtarget.co

Domain status will be updated automatically no later than 2x24 hours, from you adding the settings. If you see a check mark on the list of countries attached, it means your domain status has been updated.

NOTE: If you manage you domain in Valimail, you will need to add the CNAME DKIM key on your domain's configuration page in the Valimail platform.
