How to set up DMARC for TurboSMTP in Valimail

Updated over 5 months ago
SPF(supported)
DKIM(recommended)

This article covers the SPF and DKIM authentication processes for TurboSMTP and how they are managed in Valimail. While only one of the two authentication methods is required for an email to pass DMARC, our recommendation is to configure both whenever possible.

Configuring DKIM authentication for your TurboSMTP emails

The DKIM configuration for turboSMTP involves the creation of a TXT-type records for the subdomain “turbo-smtp._domainkey” as shown below:

Domain

turbo-smtp._domainkey

Value

k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQDT3MWLni6so1q9eQggRYBCLHFjohZkCnYHH8gZNDBm6zRrodRVpWpJQW7x3cWWiuBhS1X0IfBB80l5tqFa+yc+mVgnk8tkUzOHFbPQPp4fi7egTpMtsQW/ZMrxw73SItNvPr72qvJTYZNPxarMx+ULjEWybcfEdXHPY8jslGcpCwIDAQAB

Important: If you manage DKIM in Valimail, yo uwill need to add the key selector and value from above on your domain's Configuration page in Valimail Enforce.

To guarantee an optimum delivery rate and prevent your emails from ending up in spam, after adding the TXT DKIM key in Valimail Enforce as shown below, you have to activate the Domain Authentication mode in your turboSMTP account. Here are the simple steps to follow:

1. Log in to your turboMSTP account.

2. From the main menu select Settings.
