How to set up DMARC for MarketingPlatform in Valimail

Updated over a week ago
SPF(supported)
DKIM(recommended)

This article covers the SPF and DKIM authentication processes for MarketingPlatform and how they are managed in Valimail. While only one of the two authentication methods is required for an email to pass DMARC, our recommendation is to configure both whenever possible.

Configuring DKIM authentication for your MarketingPlatform emails

If there is no DKIM for MarketingPlatform, you will receive an error message on this.

If you click on the info button, you will get the option to create a DKIM value for your domain.

DKIM also needs to be created as a TXT-record in your DNS administration. However, it is important to note that the domain/hostname in this setup contains nothing but just the domain โ€“ most often you will always see emp._domainkey. in front of your domain when DKIM is used for MarketingPlatform.

Important: If you manage DKIM in Valimail for your domain, you will need to add this DKIM TXT key on your domain's Configuration page in Valimail Enforce.
