Updated over 6 months ago
SPF(supported)
DKIM(recommended)

This article covers the SPF and DKIM authentication processes for Wine Direct and how they are managed in Valimail. Because this service leverages Sendgrid's email infrastructure, it requires additions to your DNS records outside of the Valimail platform. Adding Wine Direct as an authorized sender in the Valimail platform usually requires a dedicated subdomain to be pointed to the Sendgrid infrastructure and typically the DKIM keys will be added in the Valimail platform.

Configuring DKIM authentication for your Wine Direct emails

1. Click the WineDirect Support bubble in the bottom right corner of your Admin Panel.

2. Click ‘Contact Support’ -> ‘Enable DMARC for my WD Emails.

3. Review the provided information, then click the ‘Create ticket Enable DMARC' button.

4. Fill in the DMARC request form with the required information and click the ‘Create Ticket’ button.

The form will be submitted to the WineDirect Support team, who will generate the SendGrid DMARC records for your email domain. Those records will be sent to your DNS administrator’s email address provided in the form (if different from yours), who will then add those records to your DNS.

NOTE: If you manage you domain in Valimail, you will need to add the 2 CNAME DKIM keys on your domain's configuration page in the Valimail platform and the rest of the DKIM records will go in your DNS.

Finally, once the DMARC records have been added to your DNS, please reply to the DMARC Support ticket, letting our Support team know. WineDirect Support will then finalize your setup with SendGrid.
