SPF(supported)
DKIM(recommended)
This article covers the SPF and DKIM authentication processes for SMTP.com and how they are managed in Valimail. While only one of the two authentication methods is required for an email to pass DMARC, our recommendation is to configure both whenever possible.
Configuring DKIM authentication for your SMTP.com emails
To setup DKIM for your SMTP.com emails, you have the option to verify your domain with SPF and DKIM within “Manage Sending Emails and Domains” option under the Account dropdown in the navigation bar.
Reach out to their Support Team and they will generate a DKIM key pair: private and public - the private key will be used within our system to sign mail with. The public key and the “selector” will be provided for you to set up in your domain’s DNS records.
NOTE: If you manage you domain in Valimail, you will need to add the DKIM key/s on your domain's configuration page in the Valimail platform.
