How to set up DMARC for Ontraport in Valimail

Updated over 5 months ago
SPF(supported)
DKIM(recommended)

This article covers the SPF and DKIM authentication processes for Ontraport and how they are managed in Valimail. While only one of the two authentication methods is required for an email to pass DMARC, our recommendation is to configure both whenever possible.

Configuring DKIM authentication for your Ontraport emails

To setup DKIM for your Ontraport emails, please add the following CNAME DKIM key record in your DNS:

Name/Host: ontraport._domainkey

Value: dk1.domain.com.emldlv.net

(Replace domain.com with the name of your custom domain.)

NOTE: If you manage you domain in Valimail, you will need to add the CNAME DKIM key on your domain's configuration page in the Valimail platform.

Next, you need to contact their support, to make sure the DKIM key and other records, are verified on their end.
