How to set up DMARC for Ventraip in Valimail

This article covers the SPF and DKIM authentication processes for Ventraip and how they are managed in Valimail. While only one of the two authentication methods is required for an email to pass DMARC, our recommendation is to configure both whenever possible.

Configuring DKIM authentication for your Ventraip emails

Dedicated Email Hosting

  1. Click on My Services at the top of the page

  2. Click on Email Hosting

  3. Click on Manage next to your email service

  4. Scroll down to DKIM record, where you can see Hostname and Content (TXT)

How to add the DKIM record

Here is the DNS record information you need, to create a new DKIM record.

  • Record Type: TXT

  • Hostname: axigen._domainkey.your-domain-name-here.com (this is an example, obtain this from VIPControl in the steps above)

  • Value: Obtain this from VIPControl in the steps above

  • TTL: 3600

NOTE: If you manage you domain in Valimail, you will need to add the DKIM key on your domain's configuration page in the Valimail platform.

Configuring SPF authentication for your Ventraip emails

Once you establish that Ventraip is an authorized sender for your domain, you will need to add the service in your Enabled Senders.

Note: We encourage you to use the comment section for any useful information about your sending service, such as the name of the service owner, change request ticket numbers, etc.
