How to set up DMARC for Vipre in Valimail

Updated over a week ago
SPF(supported)
DKIM(recommended)

This article covers the SPF and DKIM authentication processes for Vipre and how they are managed in Valimail. While only one of the two authentication methods is required for an email to pass DMARC, our recommendation is to configure both whenever possible.

Configuring DKIM authentication for your Vipre emails

To enable this feature follow the steps below:

1. In the portal navigate to Service Settings -> Outbound Relay -> Outbound DKIM Signing.

2. Select if wish to use 1024 or 2048 bit key (*2048 is recommended).

3. Click Generate.

The next steps will need to be performed inside your DNS and may vary dependent on setup (This will need to be performed on all domains registered).

Note: If you manage DKIM in Valimail for your domain, you will need to add the TXT DKIM key on your domain's Configuration page in Valimail Enforce.

4. Add the DKIM key in Valimail Enforce.

5. Once all domains have been updated click Validate.

6. If all domains pass validation you will be able to click Enable DKIM and mail will start to be signed.
