HubSpot requires special configuration actions outside of Valimail Enforce. Please follow these steps to complete configuration for HubSpot, and then return to your configuration page in Valimail.

1. While it is not necessary to add HubSpot to the 'Approved Sender' list, we recommend that you do so. This is done for tracking because the Hubspot uses a dedicated subdomain which will be delegated to HubSpot servers. HubSpot will then publish an SPF record on that subdomain.

2. Sign into your HubSpot account and generate CNAME records for SPF and DKIM by following these steps:

    For SPF:

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, click Domains & URLs.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Advanced Options.
  • Click Copy SPF record to copy the record to your clipboard. You can now add this value to your DNS.

Note: You can find more detailed information about the setup process by checking the add HubSpot to you SPF record article.

    For DKIM:

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Website > Domains & URLs.
  • Click Connect a domain.
  • In the dialog box, select Email Sending, then click Connect. You'll then be directed to the domain connection screen.

  • On the domain connection screen, enter the email address you use to send marketing emails from this domain, then click Next.
  • On the next screen, verify that the email sending domain is correct, then click Next.

Note: You can find more detailed information about the setup process by checking the HubSpot connect your email sending domain article.

3. Publish the first CNAME record in your DNS, this will allow HubSpot to publish an SPF record for the selected subdomain.

4. Add HubSpot as an Enabled Sender in the Valimail platform.

Note:  If the Hub ID you were provided with is 123456.spf00.hubspotemail.net, fill in the HubSpot ID and SPF ID fields like below:

5. Scroll down and add the two DKIM keys in your configuration, by clicking 'Add a DKIM key' from the DKIM management section. Enter the selector name, CNAME target value and associate the keys with HubSpot.

6. When you're done adding the DKIM keys to the Authenticate platform, go back to your HubSpot account and select the Done checkbox.

7. Once you’ve completed these steps, you can begin sending authenticated email using HubSpot.
