How to set up email authentication for EditNews

Updated over a week ago
Supports SPF alignment: no
Supports DKIM alignment: Yes

DMARC requires the domain in the “From” address of the email (what the recipient sees) to match the information authenticated by SPF or DKIM. This is called DMARC alignment.

Certain email service providers require bulk email-sending domains to authenticate their emails with both SPF and DKIM, in addition to configuring one of these authentication methods for DMARC alignment. You can read more about these bulk sender requirements here.

Configure email authentication for EditNews

To start setting up email authentication you will need to set up DKIM signing.

You will need to publish the following CNAME Record:

Record Name/Host: editnews._domainkey.<own domain>

Record Type:CNAME

Value: dkim.editnews.com

You can then contact EditNews and let them know that the key has been entered/published.

Once they have verified that the key exists, they activate the signing.

If you are an Enforce or Align user and your domain's SPF and/or DKIM records are pointed to Valimail, follow the steps below to add these records to the domain configuration in Valimail.
