SPF(supported) DKIM(recommended)
This article covers the process of authenticating emails sent from the Apptivo service on behalf of your organization's domain(s) and how the authentication records are managed in Valimail.
Appitvo does not send SPF aligned emails by default, but as long as DKIM is configured for Apptivo on your domain, your emails sent with Apptivo will be properly authenticated.
Configuring DKIM authentication for your Apptivo emails
1. Log in and access your Apptivo account.
2. Click on your name from the top right corner of the screen and then click on Business settings from the drop-down menu.
3. From the left navigation panel, click on Email deliverabilty.
4. From the top right side of the screen, click Create.
5. Select Display your email address as sender Address from SPF/ DKIM information, enter your domain, and then click the Generate SPF and DKIM record button.
6. You will be provided with an SPF and DKIM record that need to be added in Valimail Enforce.
7. Publish the DKIM key in Enforce with the information provided in the Apptivo console.
8. After you add the DKIM key, the Apptivo console should detect the changes automatically and start sending authenticated emails on behalf of your domain. In case this does not happen after adding the necessary records, please contact the vendor's support team.

Configuring SPF authentication for your Apptivo emails
Once you establish that Apptivo is an authorized sender for your domain, you will need to add the service in your Enabled Senders.

Note: We encourage you to use the comment section for any useful information about your sending service, such as the name of the service owner, change request ticket numbers, etc.
Important Note: In order to validate the configuration you may need to append Apptivo's include mechanism to your SPF record, after the macro directive. Your SPF record should look as follows: v=spf1 include:%{i}._ip.%{h}._ehlo.%{d}._spf.vali.email include:spf.apptivo.com ~all
